The Trust’s publication activities are carried by its wholly owned subsidiary, the Scottish Mountaineering Press(SMP).

The Scottish Mountaineering Press embrace the creativity and art born out of an explorer spirit, celebrating the endeavour and joy in a life lived outdoors. They work with authors and artists to realise their vision in print and on screen. Whether it’s poetry, photography or prose, their publications capture the moments when nature stuns us into silence and stops us in our tracks.

Through their partnership with the Scottish Mountaineering Club, the SMP publish guidebooks that cover hillwalking, scrambling and climbing. These guides should  be the first book you reach for when you head for the cliffs, mountains and outcrops of Scotland.
